Self defense techniques require that you consider the situation with which you are faced.  Victims should look for vulnerable areas on their attackers.  Victims should not look for a fair fight.  Victims should use street fighting technique to overcome their attackers, even temporarily.  Poke them in the eyes, kick them in the groin or attack other vulnerable points of the body.

A sharp elbow to the throat is another way to quickly catch the attacker off guard.  Kicking the knee cap, stomping the toes with your heels and grabbing the testicles and squeezing sharply or kicking the groin all cause great pain and are very  effective self defense technique.

Attackers often come from behind especially when physically assaulting women.  The best self defense technique to use if a man comes from behind and grabs you is to drop your weight.  By dropping to a squatting position you double your weight and make it harder for your assailant to control your body.  At that point he is also more vulnerable to her.  She should use her elbows to hit his head.  Hit once hard and quickly on one side and then the next side, moving quickly between blows.  His hold should have loosened, so turn around and face him with a swift knee to the chest or groin followed by another knee to the same area. It’s mandatory to fight back.  Criminals look for weakness.  If they realized everyone would fight back they would be less eager to attack, fearing for their own well being.  Using basic self defense technique can provide you with all the protection you will ever need to feel safe wherever you go.
